Julie oversees marketing and communications at Beck Technology, a preconstruction software company. She also owns Benchley Design, a company dedicated to maximizing new media and content creation for digital communication channels. Julie is a contributing author to a number of industry publications and a frequent public speaker on marketing, business, and technology. She earned an MBA from The University of Texas at Arlington and is a graduate of SMPS University at the University of Maryland. Additionally, Julie is a Certified Professional Services Marketer (CPSM) and a past-president of SMPS Dallas.
|Program Content Leader: Wally Hise, PE
Wally has more than 30 years of industry experience working at engineering and construction firms ranging in size from $20M to more than $1B in annual revenue. His previous responsibilities span most aspects of an AEC company including operations, marketing and management. Wally’s experience includes sales, marketing and client management across commercial and government markets. In his current role, he manages strategic planning, business development, major pursuits, proposal development, and marketing services for HDR’s Federal program. Wally holds a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, and is a licensed professional engineer and certified trainer.

With over 23 years of relationship-driven, executive-level marketing and business development experience, Matt’s talent lies in creating authentic and effective networks, inspiring teams, and guiding individuals to achieve both personal growth and professional success. As a speaker, coach, and mentor, Matt forges sincere connections with his audience and adds meaningful value regardless of subject, setting, or size. Speaking nationally on a variety of topics, he delves into universal challenges such as Leadership, Public Speaking, Burnout, Bullying, Job Transitioning, Positivity, Marketing & Business Development, Soccer Coaching, and more. His personality and presentation style is engaging, and thought-provoking. He recently became a certified Infinite Possibilities Trainer, and his background, career, and passion shine when he is helping others prosper. Matt is a past President of the Society of Marketing Professionals (SMPS) Houston Chapter, and was recognized in 2006 as Member of the Year and in 2011 as Rock of the Chapter. He received his BBA/Marketing in 1994 from Sam Houston State University and became a Certified Professional Services Marketer in 2006. Matt lives in Houston, Texas with his wife, Shelly, and his children, Trent and Peyton.
